
Looks like Pinterest is starting to feel the heat due to copyright concerns so they are introducing NOPIN, a small piece of HTML code that you can use to avoid getting your content pinned. This might come in handy especially if you take a look at their somewhat shady Terms of Use.
I think I've just encountered the dumbest article ever written about web design, and it's a bit surprising since I thought the Guardian was a proper publication.
Parallax scrolling is a special scrolling technique in computer graphics where background images move by the camera slower than foreground images, creating an illusion of depth. The technique grew out of the multiplane camera technique used in traditional animation since the 1940s and it is frequently used in video games. Melbourne based CIP Creative did a fantastic job creating a beautiful new visual identity for CAPI, an Australian company producing soft drinks and mineral water. I love the eye catching geometric logo, the modern typography and the sheer simplicity of the bottles.
